Travis Lady Jets is a girls AAU Basketball program that travel to compete in tournaments and on the Blue Chip Circuit.  The focus here will be developing various skills on the court, working on the fundamentals, and teaching teamwork to help the girls prepare for the next level whether it's middle school, high school, or potentially college basketball level. Emphasis with us is working to get better rather than rolling the ball out and just letting them play in various tournaments. The program is done individually by  Coach Matthew Lowry and those who volunteer their time to help the program succeed. This is not associated with any middle school, high school, or Travis AFB itself.

The goal here is to make sure the ladies have the tools that they need to become better ball players, people, and students once the new school year rolls around. Wins and losses isn’t our ultimate goal but, how the girls develop as players is where we find success. We want to develop the girls to prepare them for the next level of basketball. We care more about the player’s development rather than how many tournaments we win. While we DO want to win and will work to win, we want the players to grow and get better as the season progress. In our program we focus on teaching and coaching the ladies up on the game of basketball, developing their fundamentals, enhancing their basketball IQ and team play, teaching them about teamwork, being a good teammate, respect towards others, and sportsmanship.

Our mission and goal is to help teach and prepare young ladies who come through our program for the next level of basketball whether it's at the Middle school, high school, or college level. We also want to help players find opportunity to play at the next level after high school and an opportunity to showcase themselves at tournaments. The biggest goal of them all is to prepare these young ladies for life outside of basketball. At the Lady Jets we help to provide the tools in academics and their future. We want to help them understand that the ball will stop bouncing one day. So it's important to help set them up for the future.
